Discover the world-famous Algar de Benagil, one of the most iconic sea caves in Portugal and a must-see highlight of the Algarve coastline.
Accessible only from the sea, the Benagil Cave is renowned for its impressive dome-shaped ceiling and natural skylight that illuminates the golden sand inside the cave. Along the way, you will also explore several other sea caves and rock formations along the spectacular coastline between Lagos, Carvoeiro and Benagil.
Departing from Lagos Marina, we travel approximately 11 nautical miles (20 km) along the Algarve coast aboard our fast and agile RIB boats (Rigid Inflatable Boats). These vessels allow us to navigate quickly and safely while accessing caves and coastal areas that larger boats cannot reach.
During the journey, our experienced local crew will share interesting insights about the geology, history and natural beauty of the region.
The navigation from Lagos to Benagil takes approximately 30 minutes, allowing you to comfortably discover one of the most famous coastal landscapes in the Algarve.
Please note that disembarking inside Benagil Cave is not permitted, and this tour does not include a swimming stop.
Due to possible northerly winds in the afternoon, the return journey may be less comfortable on some days. For guests who are more sensitive to sea conditions, we recommend choosing a morning departure.
